Granted... I have busybodies as relatives, especially on my dad's side. But I didn't expect my cousin to be one too. She's the same age as me and I know her mum is one of those busybodies but I didn't expect her to start that early.
I know Im jobless right now and but I'm still active in my job search. I mean it's not like I'm not doing anything bout the situation. This issue of me finding a job has been hovering about since last year. My aunty kept asking me when I'm going to work, bearing in mind that I was still in Uni (busy studying) at the time. Then now, having just completed Uni, my cousin has joined the bandwagon... but she's been doin it rather 'discreetly'. She would at times chat with my little sis and lately has been asking her, "Iqa, Kak Alin dah dapat kerje?"... "Dia dah pegi interview?"
Then I guess she grew tired of asking the same question and getting the same answer every time... which is 'NO'.. She began to question my sister, "How you know she haven't gone for interview?". My little sis gave a thumbs-up answer (she's 8 yrs old by the way), "She's my sister! Of course lah I know." HeHe... Clever right.
The thing is, why oh why must such people feel the need to know?How do they gain from knowing? What good will come of it? There's a saying... A busybody IS ALWAYS malevolent... Maybe it's true but I think in some instances it's not. In my cousin's case, she's competitve and won't be able to take it if I went one better than her.. She'll go NUTS I tell you... But I really don't see why she should bother. She's working and is attached to a rich guy (husband-to-be). She can be a taitai for all I care... it doesnt bother me. I don't have any interest in her life. I just don't get it why people are interested in mine... My life ain't interesting... Seriously =X
